Ciao Vincenzo!

Ristorante Firenze was honored to have Vincenzo Ippolito, owner of Ippolito Vineyards of Calabria, Italy, in the restaurant on Saturday February 18th.  Vincenzo was in town as part of US tour to promote his family's wines.  If you have not had a chance to try it, be sure to ask for "I Mori" on your next visit. A blend of Calabrian grape, Gaggliopo, and Cabernet Sauvignon, it is a rich, spicy red with notes of dark red fruits and smooth tannins.  On Wednesdays, it is half price.

New Craft Beer on Tap

What new craft beer is on tap? Firenze always has seven Maryland craft beers on tap (plus Peroni from Italy of course).  The selection rotates as the brewers release their seasonal concoctions.  The latest at Firenze is Flying Dog Numero Uno Summer Cerveza, the they describe as “the artisanal answer to the easy-drinking, south-of-the-border slammers the younger versions of ourselves knew and loved”.  Come try it on CINCO DE MAYO.  Gracias.

Counter Culture Ale Is Here

Flying Dog Counter Culture Ale is here! Ristorante Firenze loves to talk about wine, but we also have plenty for the beer lover.  New on tap this month is Flying Dog Counter Culture.  This amber ale features a malty brown color and utilizes Citra hops.  The Frederick brewery took two years to develop this 6% ABV beer, but we can pour you one in just a minute or two.  Enjoy with our house cut and breaded Fried Mozzarella, or our bar-side special Jazzed Up Garlic Bread. #EatFirenzeMD #Authentic #Fresh #Italian #Local

Italian Cocktail Contest

Want to be immortalized on the "Cocktail Menu" at Ristorante Firenze, the newest Italian restaurant in Historic Reisterstown, MD?  Then win our Italian Cocktail Contest and we will put your winning concoction on our hand-made cocktail menu.  Submit a recipe to Info@EatFirenze.com that meets the following criteria:

  • must have at least one Italian ingredient
  • must be delicious
  • must be unique (unique twists on existing cocktails OK)

You may send more than one entry, but they must be sent in separate emails.

Entrants must be over 21 years of age.  All entries must be received by January 31, 2015. 

The winner, as determined solely by the owners of Firenze, will be announced by the end of February 2015.

As an added bonus, all entrants will be eligible for a drawing for a $20 Firenze gift card.  One drawing entry per person.
