Ristorante Firenze was honored to have Vincenzo Ippolito, owner of Ippolito Vineyards of Calabria, Italy, in the restaurant on Saturday February 18th. Vincenzo was in town as part of US tour to promote his family's wines. If you have not had a chance to try it, be sure to ask for "I Mori" on your next visit. A blend of Calabrian grape, Gaggliopo, and Cabernet Sauvignon, it is a rich, spicy red with notes of dark red fruits and smooth tannins. On Wednesdays, it is half price.
